Hello,
are you willing to share your mystery or do you prefer to wait for a family member?

Here is the family in 1901 - William and Mary with children
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Dundrum/Dundrum/1316003/

Copying and pasting leads to the long list you have with all the additional bits and makes it more difficult to follow.

The Greer's greengrocers shop was just past the Catholic Church on the same side of the road and close to Campbell's corner boot repairs etc which is still there today.  Although often considered Dundrum main street that block of building between the church and the Ballinteer/Taney crossroads is actually Maher's Terrace, as far as I remember there still a road sign with that name.

edited -  just testing

There's an entry for Taney house on the YouWho.ie website, no mention of th Greer family, so maybe they only lived there for short time. The same website has an entry for the family described as living 'Main Street, Dundrum and Taney House, Newtown Park' which might be of interest.

Just spotted that there's more than one Taney house - I presumed the one opposite the Church on Taney Hill. The correct Taney House for your Greer family was Newtownpark, Blackrock

Hello.  Thank you so much for the responses and the information contained therein,  much appreciated.   Not very easy researching in Ireland from England.

Do you know if there are any old photos at all?  I've now seen the one of Taney House, Newtownpark.

Regards,

Kathryn
