Heaton family
« on: Thursday 14 March 24 14:21 GMT (UK) »
I've decided to post this on here as well as the Ireland board,  because the family had been living in England for a considerable time.
Hello I'm trying to locate the parents and siblings of Ralph Heaton b 1816 in London.  He married Sarah Hawkins in 1855 and had 3 children.  His father is recorded as Patrick, a farmer.  On the parish birth register of his son, Ralph b1866, the Godfather is named as Michael Heaton.  I'd like to find out more about Ralph 's father, his mother and siblings. Thank you

I see you have changed the focus but where do you have the connection to Ireland?

Where and when do you first have a record for Ralph?

Hello Heywood  This is the information I found from the births of Ralph Heaton's (1816) children, all born in England (Ralph b 23rd April 1866, Ann 23rd May, 1863, Sarah Jane born and died in 1862.  1871 Census shows the family living in Tower Hamlets (Eaton)  I have found a Heaton family of Crickle, Kings, Offaly 1821 Record- Pat Heaton 38, Honor 30,  children: John 14, Ralph 12, Pat 10, Bridget 8, Michael 5 but the birth dates of Ralph and Michael do not tie in with the information I already have.  Thanks

Thanks, Rosie.  I have her in the 1861 Census  I think she is likely the Mary b1860 in the 1871 Census?

yes, I have found quite a lot about the Ralph and family born in 1816 but it's his father, Patrick (from marriage record) mother and siblings I'm struggling with

It does help if we know where you have Ralph going backwards, it saves us spending time looking for him in an attempt to track back to his parents
