Hello.  The Sheehan Family I am researching is the one in Buttevant Lane and am interested in Ellen the daughter.  Someone on Ancestry gave me the maiden name of Ellen's mother being Aherne/Ahern.  I do apologise if I am getting things wrong and wasting your time.

Kathryn

You're not wasting our time, Kathryn. We're here to help!

Here are the final four Sheehan siblings from 1900, with mother's maiden name as Ahern(e).
Margaret 1902, John 1904, William 1908 and Michael 1911.

As KG says, not wasting time at all.
If you are sure it’s that family, then I posted 1901 census information.
Odd about the lack of record for Ellen though.

Thank you both.  I appreciate this info.  It's ---- law that there is no record for person that I'm interested in. Something will hopefully come to light.  Your time and help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Kathryn

Do you have Ellen in Cork up to 1925?
Where is she at that time?
Was there anyone in England she could have joined?

...and for her older brother Patrick. Both born in Co Cork according to both censuses, but no birth records appear to have been registered.

Strange!

The name is so common, it is hard.
However, I offer these deaths - do you know if this is the right couple?

Ellen Sheehan died 1926, residence Doneraile. The informant is her daughter, Mary Doherty.

Jeremiah Sheehan died 1947, residence Doneraile. The informant - step daughter Mary Doherty.

Regarding the deaths of Ellen and Jeremiah,  am not sure as I can't see that Ellen Snr had a girl child called Mary.  Nothing would surprise me anymore.  Talk about 50 Shades of Gray!!!  Also, not aware of this boy child in 1915.
