looking for marriage certificate/records Florence Edwards

Hi everyone,

I am struggling to find a marriage certificate or any marriage entry for Florence Edwards and Vernon Ray Ruark.  They married 1941/41 in Pennsylvania and had 1 child.  They divorced 1950.  Florence's parents were James Edwards and Florence (nee Miller). 

Any help would be a huge help.

Have you applied for Vernon Ray Ruark's Navy record, it will have the date they married.
He married his 2nd wife 1950 in Virginia

If they married in the church at the Navy Yard it should have been transferred to the civil authority of
the county the Navy Yard is located in.

Is the daughter still alive?  If so - you need to remove her name from your post.  Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy

There's an index record for a Florence Edwards, male, with a spouse named Edwards, marriage 1941 in Philadelphia. film number 004141861.

That could be what you are looking for, or maybe not. It doesn't make sense, so maybe there was a mistake indexing. I couldn't find Vernon's name with that date, location, and film number.
I don't know what the film number refers to. My first guess would be the films by the Latter Day Saints.
