This couple where from Devon and Dorcas was born in 1803 Stratton and Arscott Hender "nee Pomeroy(not sure) I have limited access to Ancestry and F Search has not much . All I know is that they emigrated to Canada Ontario in 1860 (do not know why) I would like to track them down and if anyone could I would be most grateful . Thank you all .

Please could you clarify a few things in your post?

You refer to a great uncle in your first sentence but Dorcas is a woman's name; was this Arscott's wife?

I can't see anybody with "Arscott" as a first name anywhere in England, using FindMyPast.

You say "nee Pomeroy" but this seems in your post to refer to Arscott; did you mean it to refer to Dorcas, or was it possibly Arscott's mother's maiden name?

Are you wanting info from before they left the UK or after they arrived in Canada?

Marriage- 1836
Anscott (transcribed) Pomeroy and Dorcas Hender, Stratton, Cornwall.

I see, but no details, a marriage - Montreal in 1866
Arscott Pomroy to Anna Speedlow
Perhaps a son?
