Morning all
I hit the wrong side of the shingles jab age thing as they changed who could get it and dropped it to 65 from a particular date. I recently hit 66 so thought I could get it - wrong! Those of us who are after 65 have to wait till we’re 70 until we’re allowed it as our birthday is the wring side of the date.
There’s been lots in the media about folk like me who’d like it but can’t get it. One lady said it was daft as her husband who is younger than her, will hit 65 this year and he can get the jab, but she like me has to wait till she’s 70. You can pay privately for it to get it now , but it’s £400 per jab and apparently the latest vaccine you need two jabs six months apart.

Because they shifted the age range for the shingles jab several times, I have always missed out by one or two years, I have always been too young or too old. Now, as of today I’m a year older, not something I want to celebrate. The only good thing, it’s the Spring equinox.

After a wet and miserable day yesterday it’s good to see the sun again today, we seem to be getting the different weather on alternate days. At least it was dry on Monday so the gardener was able to tidy up and trim the shrubs that had had a growth spurt.

Happy Birthday Jebber! 🎂
I hope you had a good one even if you are not celebrating as such.

Too bad you won't have got to see Queen Camilla, KGarrad.  Although, perhaps the visit might be covered in the news tomorrow.

I hope you had a nice day Jebber, it was yours so do what pleased you most.

Spoke with my friend today.
She is coping well after losing her son.We had a good few laughs about old times, gosh, we were in our twenties and always laughing.
Two,little boys, one each then two each ,I had a third but she has the Rhesus
factor, so was advised not to have more .

A mild rainy day.

Must make my way to hospital tomorrow ,need a renal check having had my medication changed.
An easy journey ,off one bus, just cross the road and the second is just opposite.
Son will drive me if he can but must be down to Head Office on Friday so might need to leave tomorrow.

Look after yourselves .Viktoria.

Now Thursday so P.S. just remembered—— after looking on the calendar to see what today brings and of course the gas fire is to be checked and serviced for very slow and often not at - all ignition.
We will see what transpires.
A dark dull wet morning ,it might improve.
Hope everyone is alright and those not well at least feel safe. V.

Thank you RTL, LM and Viktoria for your kind birthday wishes.

The day didn't start well, having taken ages to go to sleep last night, I woke at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep, so have been tired all day and not been very active.

It was the morning for my cleaner, she came with flowers and cake. This afternoon a visit from two granddaughters who also came with flowers. I already had flowers from a neighbour so the living room is starting to resemble a florist shop. So much for my not wanting to celebrate, but it was very nice anyway and  much appreciated. I’m now having a whiskey before bed and hopefully a better night.

I hope your hospital visit goes well tomorrow Viktoria.

They do say that an hour's catnap is as good as two hours sleep.  After the loud bangs and rumbling noises that seemed to last so all night I've been glad of a day time catnap.   I live behind a pub and I assume that the pub was stocking up for a profitable holiday

I finished my Alfred Hitchcock jigsaw puzzle then found a black piece of puzzle on the floor when the completed puzzle was still on the table  - the question now is:  did the makers put an extra piece in the box or does it belong to the earlier puzzle that I finished last week?

I had a surprise when I opened the envelope from my bank.  I expected to see a statement but for once in my lifetime they have sent me suggestions of how they will give me money instead of taking it away in fees.   The suggestions could have come straight from the money saving expert.

The heating bills are frighteningly high - I used to be able to control the heating by a simple turn of a dial in each room - the modern expert doesn't think that's a good idea - the brilliant idea is to control the heat meeded in various rooms by the boiler sited elsewhere.

My hot water in the kitchen ,kitchen sink ,is about six meters from the boiler. So when I turn the hot tap on I have to run off all the water in the pipes, but that is water has been  previously heated and gone cold from the last time I

Fish and chips for tea so no pans ir cooker to wash .
It is going dark already , and only almost five O’Clock.

My daughter’s business has won the award again for the best in customer satisfaction ,fifth year running.
