Turner's living Chelsea, Battersea, Fulham
« on: Monday 18 March 24 19:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I am requesting please a 1891 census look up for the 2 below people:

Charles Francis Turner-also known as Frank- b: 1866 Cirencester Gloucestershire
Agnes Laura Turner b: 1867 Aberystwyth Cardiganshire

Charles & Agnes were married 28.09.1890 St. Philip's Church Battersea
Charles says he was living at 28 Prairie St
Agnes says she was living at 28 Raine St

When their daughter was born Agnes Jane Turner DAVIES Dec qtr 1891 Chelsea 1a
She was baptised in Aberystwyth 17.04.1892 born 10.09.1891 and they were living at,
after deciphering the handwriting, I think 7 Blenheim St Kings Road Chelsea

I have been unable to locate either of Charles or Agnes in the UK 1891 census or the Wales 1891 census. I have searched Find My Past 1891 addresses for Blenheim St, Kings Road, Prairie St and Raine St.

This is the 1901 census info:

1901 census 1 Ashcombe St St. Matthew's Fulham
Frank Turner HD M 37yrs Billiard Etching Marker b: Gloster Gloucester
Agnes Turner WI M 32yrs b: Wales Aberystwyth
Agnes J Turner DA 9yrs b: London Fulham

Their son George Francis Turner was born Sep qtr 1902 Chelsea 1a pge 430 again he was baptised
baptised 22.07.1904 born 21.07.1902 Holy Trinity Aberystwyth, they were living at Trinity Road, there is a Trinity Road in Aberystwyth.

The brick wall.   ;D

1911 census 6 Raddington Road North Kensington 21yrs married 1 child born 1 child alive
Charles Francis Turner HD 46yrs Widower Billiard Marker b: Cirencester Gloucestershire
Agnes Turner DA 19yrs S Dressmaker b: Chelsea London

I have been unable to find Agnes L Turner or Agnes Turner’s death between 1901-1911 in the UK or Cardiganshire death records.

I have been unable to find another marriage for Agnes L Turner or Agnes Turner’s between 1901-1911 in the UK or Cardiganshire death records. I have tried Lancashire due to some sisters moving there and Cheshire because their son George Francis Turner was living there in the 1921 census.
I think Agnes Laura Turner has left Charles and has either remarried or using a different surname in the 1911 census for herself and George Francis Turner as I have not been able to locate either of  them in the 1911 census.

I have located details about Charles Francis Turner’s death, Agnes Jane Turner in the 1939 Register and possibly her death in 1977 but the dob is wrong.
I have located details about George Francis Turner’s death and am currently awaiting his birth cert.

I am requesting please a 1911 search for Agnes Laura and George Francis and any thoughts would be appreciated thank you.

thanks and regards,

Sarah

Hi Ashtone,

Thank you so much  :)

I have been unable to find them on the 1891 census using different ways of searching on Ancestry and it's taken you less than half an hour.

A great find, thank you again.

regards,

Sarah

How odd that the 1911 census indicates "1 child born 1 child alive".  ???

This may be just a coincidence with common names but worth a look, see also the 1921 census for mother and daughter.

Sorry, what I meant was how odd Frank stated only 1 child born and alive, rather than two children (born 1891 and 1902). Unless it turns out George Francis wasn't his son?

This appears to be daughter Ivy's birth:
