When Elizabeth Gwendoline Gordon aged 26 years married 19 th August 1918 to William Thomas Edmunds (aged 26 years) Parish of Hempstead London.
Witness Annie May Saunders - Charles Davis.

She names her father as John/Noah (both crossed thru) Gordon (blacksmith - deceased)

A January 10, 1921 fire at the U.S. Department of Commerce building in Washington, DC, destroyed the majority of the population schedules from the 1890 Census.  It makes it difficult to try and trace John Gordon around 1890

Haven't come across an out going or incoming passenger list for Elizabeth Kidley in either name on Ancestry.
Nothing showing for John Gordon Snr or Jnr for a UK return on Ancestry.
No sign of an obit for the parents Henry or Catherine which may have had some further clue.  :-\
Family appears to have stayed in Rhode Island.

They had a son, Jack Wilmington Gordon born in Delaware about 1890, returning to Britain the following year.

Just curious...in lieu of a birth record what evidence suggests he was born in Delaware? You mentioned a Rolls family in Delaware earlier.
