Wilson - Help

Hi All,

After a few years off I’ve returned to researching and whilst I’ve found a few more things with the help of further released documents, one person is giving me the run around and I am stuck.

I am trying to find a marriage and death for William Wilson born 1905 Gateshead to Thomas Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Wilson mother maiden name Bailey.

On the 1911 census they are in Elswick. I can’t find him on the 1921 census but I have found 3 newspaper articles of him being arrested (along with his brother 😅) and it states he had a black record, these were circa 1923. In 1927 he is in the electoral register at 188 Albion row (predominantly the family home) there is also a Christina Wilson listed and I’m unaware as to who she is. They are still there in 1932.

I then find him on the 1953 electoral roll at 27 pottery bank (another house known to the family) but I still can’t find a marriage or death. I’ve recently been told he had a daughter called Margaret who lived round the corner and when married she became a Moore, any help or fresh eyes would be appreciated.

Christina is there at 188 from 1922. I think Thomas may have remarried as just those two at address in 1922

Thanks Cas I was rather hoping she’d have been more to do with William than Thomas, I believe I have the correct death for him in 1929 which would make sense as he’s not on the electoral rolls I’ve found from 1931.

Even less to go on for a marriage for William 🙈.

Do you know his exact birthdate?  It could help find him on the 1939 register.  If he died from 1969 onwards his full birthdate should be shown on the death reg

I don’t I just know it’s quarter 2 1905. And with not being able to find his death I’m just totally stuck.

There are 4 deaths for a William Wilson b 1905 in Northumberland - 3 were before 1969 so have no birthdate.  The birthdate for the one after 1969 does not fit a June qtr birth

His birthyear could be shown as 1906 depending on the exact birthdate in relation to his date of death (eg)

Born 20th April 1905 - died 15th Feb 1962 - aged 56 - birthyear would be 1962 - 56 = 1906

William is still at that address on 1955 electoral register, which is in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The death below would be a good contender as dates fit.
