What could this illness be
« on: Saturday 23 March 24 20:45 GMT (UK) »
A family member was admitted to The Dreadnought Seaman's Hospital in 1833.
Can anyone help me read the cause of his illness?

Oh Gosh, shin splints, I had never heard of it till last year, ii hadn't done anything strenuous  at all, was just resting my legs in a recliner, went to get up and I couldn't walk,  most frightening thing, when I spoke to my daughter she said often athletics  suffer from it, I had to laugh, I had done nothing at all  but it was the most frightening  and painful thing I have ever had, now I don't rest my legs upwards
