Yes, I think that's him, thanks.

Now I just have to figure out how the mother, Mary Chandler (1792-1871) connects with the family of Enoch Chandler.

I really appreciate all the help with this, thanks.

Now I just have to figure out how the mother, Mary Chandler (1792-1871) connects with the family of Enoch Chandler.

Have you confirmed that the death in 1871 is the correct Mary Chandler?
Mary Chandler death 1871 Registration Stroud (age 79)

Mary Chandler Baptism 29 Jan 1792 Woodchester - Father Jeremiah Chandler

Joyce Merrett Chandler baptised 1795 Woodchester to Jeremiah Chandler. She died 1835, buried in Stroud, but her abode was Walls Quarry, Minchinhampton.

Jerimiah Chandler marriage 18 July 1791 Woodchester to Margaret Cordwell

Jeremiah Chandler burial Woodchester 16 Nov 1798

Jeremiah might have been baptised Stroud 1761, the son of John and Ann Chandler.

Enoch was born abt 1877 - could he have been another son of John and Ann? There are some baptisms of children in Minchinhampton to John and Ann around the relevant time period.

I got Mary's death cert. It's not conclusive but it gives herage as 79 and location is Nailsworth Horsley, so it seems plausible. Unfortunately the informant wasn't another Chandler,it was a Sarah Morris.

I also found the Jeremiah info. Mary did say she was from Woodchester and her year of birth is consistently recorded as c. 1792, and since there are no other Chandler entries in the Woodchester register I'm inclined to think the Jeremiah line is probably correct.

As for enoch, his parents are unknown. Jeremiah was born in 1761 and Enoch about 1781 so it's just possible they could have been brothers. They both sound a bit old testament, but then there were a lot of non conformists in the area at this time.

I took Enoch's age from his prison records which was - born 1777-1780.
Where does 1781 come from?
