Back again, if you can get access to those baptisms, you should hopefully get Bridget’s name.
I just can’t see any possibilities with civil records!

Well, this looks like them in 1851 - transcribed here and Ancestry as ‘Newbon’.
I found them by searching with Matthew b 1849 ish and parents James and Brid*
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SGG8-9M6

Looking at that census, daughter Ann was born c 1837 in Preston.

1841 978 /30/25
West Bromwich

James Morgan 30 yrs b Ireland
Bridget 30 yrs b Ireland
Ann Moogan 4 yrs not born in county
James 1 yr born in county

As transcribed

I found a civil birth  :D

1839 West Bromwich
James Macan mmn Ryans

Just to say re the surname variations, the first names look good.
In 1841, the address is Caddicks Gullet. If you look at the enumerator’s page, it follows on from Browns Alley.
In 1851, the address is Spittles Alley and the enumerator’s page shows it following on from Browns Alley.
