Elizabeth Charlotte Davison
« on: Tuesday 26 March 24 14:30 GMT (UK) »

Can some kind soul help me fill in a gap please - Elizabeth Charlotte Davison is baptised on 7 May 1849 with her twin, Edward William at St Paul's, Wilton Place, Kensington.  Their parents are Henry Augustus (labourer) and Elizabeth and the family live in Pimlico.  Edward dies in January 1851 and is buried at St Georges Hanover Square and Elizabeth is with her parents in the 1851 census but I can't find her after this point.

I haven't found a burial for Elizabeth and there's no death cert on the GRO for either of the twins.  Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Thank you.

Sharp(e) - Hertfordshire, Suffolk
Lee - Ireland
Summerfield - London, Buckinghamshire
Bickers - London, Norfolk, Suffolk
Guiver - London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire
Murray - London

Unfortunately the 1861 census for Pimlico is missing, so confirming if Elizabeth Charlotte is still with the family is a non-starter.

There's no 1851 death registration for Edward William? Have you tried all the name variations for Davison?

Is this the 1851 entry you are referring to as you haven't given any details for parents apart from names

Piece 1477 folio 324 page 5

EDIT

The baptismal record does not show Henry with a middle name nor does the 1845 marriage to Elizabeth Webb

Sorry, can't check the census you've suggested but I can say that 'my' lot were living at 7 Cliffords Row, St Georges Hanover Square, Westminster, Henry was a labourer born in Uxbridge and the couple had two daughters - Elizabeth and Sarah.

The death reg re Edward question - I've searched Davison, male, all UK 1851 +/- 4 years.  There was another death in 1850 for Richard Thomas also missing but the next, John 1853 and all others are there.

See my edit above re Henry snr

The children's births were registered as William & Elizabeth so the additional names of Edward & Charlotte must have been added at the baptismal stage

Henry Augustus was the name of their son born 1856
