yes, the baptisms were in the names Edward William and Elizabeth Charlotte and may have been registered differently.  William was his grandfather's name but why not call him William Edward?  Funny lot.

I have a burial for Edward in 1851 so it could be him, will take a look.  Thank you  ;D

Just to confirm that 'Edward' was William and I have his death certificate so thank you for that.

Elizabeth Charlotte continues to be a mystery.  I've tried Davison, female and checked through 1850s with the GRO but I haven't found a burial either so where did she go?

Probably married.  Have you looked? Nothing on freebmd in the RD St George Hanover Sq.  She may not have married as Elizabeth Charlotte - just Elizabeth

Have you looked for a marriage on www.familysearch.org as that should give her fathers name

You could try searching the 1871 for Elizabeth's b Pimlico 1849 +- 2yrs if she's not with her parents in 1871

Her family have also been recorded in various records as Davis and Davidson at the time. So, important to check for her using those variations.

I'm happy to know that I haven't missed an infant death so thank you for that.  She's not my direct ancestor so I'm gap filling and won't worry about tracking her down.

Thanks for looking  ;) :D
