Joseph Anthony ISENEGGER

I have just become aware of the above in my tree. He was born 1876 app in Switzerland and married Annie Elizabeth Jordan SHANNON in Kensington in 1899. I believe they had one child, Doris Elsie, in 1904. At some point they went to South Africa, I had a PO Box number in Bethal, Transvaal, for them. She died in 1925 and he died in 1968. Doris must have returned to the UK as she married   Herbert BUTLER in 1974.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find any record of their stay in SA please?

Have you checked Family Search? It has some South Africa records for this chap. He was a teacher, according to the marriage record below.

FS also have Probate records for him, as well.

Here's wife Annie's 1925 Death Notice, which gives her parents' names and her birthplace.

The 1974 marriage shows Doris as Isenegger-Clements.  Death reg - b 17.6.1904  died 1999

Doris was b Sept qtr 1904 Hackney 1B 569

A tree on Ancestry has a marriage to Leslie Cuthbert Clements in Birmingham 1952 - no marriage found.  It also has Doris dying in 1967??

Leslie Cuthbert Clements was b 1900 Totnes died 1966 - probate shows widow as Martha Prudence🙄🙄🙄

I had Doris b Sep 1904 Islington 01b 190, married Herbert H BUTLER Sep 1974 Hove 18 745.
The death record is confusing as a0 it states no children and b) it gives her age as 55 and i had a tentative birth year of 1853. More research required.

1911 census - Annie is age 42, living with daughter Doris (age 7) in Islington.

What death record are you referring to in reply 3? 

Doris Elsie Butler was 87 when she died Dec qtr 1991.
