At present I do not have enough specific questions that I want to look into to warrant me forking out and looking into the following -

I would be very grateful if anybody is in a position to find out more.

The mention of Mrs Beves has no connection with James William Hopkins.  James was jailed for 28 days for refusing to become a trainee to the Horden Colliery in Durham. FindMyPast has the image of the article.

Thanks BB.

I think that indicates that it is not the same WH who was living near Winkfield, Berks in the early 1960s who I trying out more about.
I thing that he was a smallholder and bred pigs or cattle. A recent view of his property indicated that it has become a big scrap yard or something.

I think he may have been related to Joshua Richard Joseph  Hopkins, Beerhouse keeper who was residing at The Grapes in Slough abt 1900.

Wow! We have a vein. Could lead to the mother load.
I have just noticed the Floral Arms and certain that there was a link to my mother’s family.

Have you looked for a birth for William Hopkins 1924?

Your first enquiry was about James William but then you go on to WH.

What do you know about your Mr Hopk8ns?
Is there a street address for the place you reference?
