Ryland, John 1717?-1798 has West India connections. Married Honor Hawkesworth.  Parents of Richard Ryland. 

I can't find any siblings for Richard Ryland but Honor has brother John (as mentioned in the biography).  I've yet to work out how Thomas Fullerton Warren was a nephew of Richard Ryland.  Rev. Warren married Margaret Broadbelt.

Thanks Sandra, well found.  I'm looking at a public tree for Welsh/Welch/Walsh where there is some info on Thomas F Warren's parents and other family.  So checking there for possible uncle/nephew links.

Honor Haukes is a transcription error as the original shows Haukesworth or Hawkesworth.

Yes heaps to look through but beginning to tire of dusty documents now the sun is shining.  Might park it all for a while and focus on the here and now!

Back to Thomas Fullerton Warren, his burial record states of 21 Brompton Rd, Kensington and he was buried in St Mary Abbots.  2 Jan 1814.  Age 33 (baptised in Jamaica in 1781 so the age is right) 

Died 13 Dec 1813 so there's a longer gap than usual between death and burial.

I wonder if any newspapers noted his death?

Strange that there are no Waylands listed on http://www.jamaicanfamilysearch.com/ Not a single one.
