Researching a nurse 1920's
« on: Sunday 31 March 24 16:00 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Gt aunt Louisa Kate Thompson was a nurse, possibly worked for a time at a mental hospital. Born 1906 Bishop Auckland Durham, married 1937, when I assume she would have stopped working. She's not on the nursing register on Ancestry. How can I find out more about her career?

Hi,
No occupation apart from domestic duties and she had a young child by 1939.

Yes, she did.  The dob on 1939 reads like1900 for her but that is incorrect, it should be 1906.

Is this her in the Nursing Register as Louisa Kathleen Thompson,  living Monkseaton, 1931. Registered Feb 15 1924, London.  Cert 1915-1918, RVI, N/c

DoB and quals seem a little out though.
