The Gazette article offers very little apart from recording his dod as 5.3.1994, he was a retired Shipping Insurance Co.Director, address  60, Palace Gardens Terrace, London W8.

Only other info found was 2 electoral register entries 1953/54 at 66, Bedford Gardens, Kensington.

Agree marriage cert is the only way to go as no JWD born in England/Wales & Scotland in 1922

Some public school he was a pupil in 1939.

Signed up for 3 months so have been able to view it.  There’s a strong catholic belief/religion in this side of the family.  I’m going to do some reading up on that school

Marriage certificate is the best place to start which should have the name/occupation of his father.

Witness names can also be helpful.

Have ordered the Mc now and yes witnesses can prove really helpful sometimes.  Thanks
