which High School for boys from Carramar
« on: Sunday 14 April 24 10:24 BST (UK) »
I am hoping someone with knowledge of the Carramar area (SW Sydney) is able to assist.  I would like to know the names of possible high schools that a teenage boy from Carramar was likely to have attended during years 1950 to 1956.

I guess Liverpool is one possibility but wonder if there were others that I should search.

Thank you for any suggestions

OH grew up in Fairfield, just a couple of km from Carramar. He went to Fairfield Boys High (coed now I think). There is also Patrician Brothers in Fairfield. He says it could also be Chester Hill or Canley Vale High Schools.

Actually, just checked - Chester Hill and Canley Vale didn't open until 1965.

Modified to add:
Patrician Brothers opened in 1953.
Fairfield Boys opened in 1954.

Thanks for the suggestions maddys52. (It seems most 'high schools' only opened in mid 50s, or later and before that many were called something else. The puzzle is what name and / or location!)
