Possibly from the early 1900's  electoral records?  I bumped into a John Edward Jacques from Normanton when looking around, but he would be too young (although perhaps a father?)

Well done John & Shaun, there must be some connection to have the address on his Army file.

More great stuff there, Cas.
Mary Elizabeth died not long after the 1939 Register was taken, and was buried at Garden House Cemetery in Whickham. Laid to rest alongside husband John. Images are on FamilySearch.

Hopefully bluetntmo will come back to tell us what they make of it all.
