Dear all
I am hoping that someone may be able to help me identify Alexander KENNEDY and Fanny CARTER who married in Port Elizabeth on 27 October 1858 (as per the first attachment).
They had five children. Robert baptised in Port Elizabeth (see
https://www.albany1820.com/transcriptions/Data/PortElizabeth/baptisms/methodist1.htm):
Entry #485
Child: Robert KENNEDY?
Parents: Alexander and Fanny
Born: 25 Aug 1860
Baptised: 9 Sep 1860
and four baptised in Uitenhage (as per the second attachment).
Fanny CARTER's Form of Information of a Death shows only that she was to be buried in Uitenhage, she was born in England and that she was 83 when she died (as per the third attachnment).
There do not appear to be gravestones for either Fanny KENNEDY (nee CARTER) or Alexander KENNEDY in the Uitenhage cemetery (see for example,
http://africangenealogy.blogspot.com/2013/11/begraafplaas-uitenhage-anglican-graves.html) but there are gravestones for some of their children and grandchildren.
Alexander KENNEDY may have been born in Scotland in 1835:

There is also an Alexander KENNEDY born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1835 who was in the British merchant navy (as per the fourth attachment) - given that the marriage record refers to Alexander KENNEDY as a seaman.
Having hit a brickwall at trying to find their parents, I would be most grateful if Alexander KENNEDY and Fanny CARTER are able to be identified. If anyone has a copy of the baptismal record for their first child, Robert KENNEDY that would be very much appreciated too.
Many thanks
Richard Gomm
