I agree with you bearkat but I suspect  RTL  is so contentious  she realises that  others  will  suffer if she takes a lunch hour, her comute  is grim, lengthens her day which means very little sleep and off again the next morning.
I do think in the main RTL   does enjoy her job.

Compare with Australian conditions.  Not sure if I have correct award, but you can change it.

I think you've been the victim of predictive text here LM, I'm sure you meant conscientious.  :)

I agree Roobarb,I saw it just before heading to church and thought I would look again when back .
Knowing how kind Louisa Maude is I agree a typo .
Contentious- well argumentative  and sticking to your guns and stirring things up. So unlike L.M.  To use that word ;D ;D ;D
Conscientious yes we can appreciate what Louisa meant given RTL’s work load and difficult travel at stupid O ‘clock!
I had two goes before spelling it correctly  ::)
Mind you predictive text is back in my iPad, it is a nuisance ,you can so easily miss it.
We have a laugh don’t we ,always kindly I hasten to add.
Viktoria.

Change of  subject

I had a stall at the local church spring fayre yesterday,  apart from jewellery  I has crystal glasses for sale, very nice ones with a beautiful ring when  flicked with a finger, I imagine they had been in someone's glass cabinet,  not 1 set sold, I remarked that a young couple setting  up home could give these glasses a good home, I was told youngsters don't use these type of glasses, " really " I said, "what on earth do they drink out of" ?

I have two sets of crystal wine glasses, one set were given to me by my parents and the other set I inherited from them. Both sets look beautiful in the top shelf of my kitchen cupboard! I never use them, partly because I wouldn't want to risk breaking them but also because they don't hold much wine! I suspect the latter is the reason young people don't use them, they're more likely to have those that hold half a bottle!  ;D

Yes, lovely cut glass seem not to be wanted nowadays
Charity shops have lots for sale.

Just watching “ The Piano “The first lad was wonderful ,wonder what happened to the young blind girl who learnt by placing her hands on her teacher’s ,from last year’s programme.
Oh, just announced that Lucy had a Royal Command performance !

Well a warm milky drink ,and an earlier night ,reading a good book about the family of Laurence Stern,  the painter, especially his “The Shell Seekers”.
Chapters are about individual family members,a lot so I have to keep looking at the index,
Well cheerio, Dentist again tomorrow !!!
Sleep well.
Viktoria.
P.S,yes Roobarb ,just seen your post, modern glasses are very big .V.

Such a punishing schedule you have RTL as we've all mentioned through these threads, if only we could support you further in a more practical or helpful way to get your entitlements and hours more acceptable. I don't ever recall having carried a banner in a protest, can understand why others do when it comes to work and pay conditions of nurses, teachers etc etc etc. Happy for you and your family that there is a bit of light re health matters.

Good to hear your previous dentistry episode is now more comfortable too Viktoria, and hopefully much better on visit tomorrow.

Also see many beautiful glasses on shelves in op shops, our local Hospice one has a large area of a range of unwanted crystal but I know they have quite a good turnover generally, just ongoing donations mainly from seniors downsizing I think.

Getting on to late afternoon Monday NZ, new diary week really but just adding to this one while looking in, Cheers all x
