Richard Davies Brilley Herefordshire
« on: Tuesday 30 April 24 16:34 BST (UK) »
Hello, I'm trying to find some information on Richard Davies born in 1872 in Brilley Herefordshire.

I have found him on the 1941 census HO107/456/6 where he is living in Michaelchurch on Arrow Radnorshire. I am struggling to find his marriage and any information about his parents or brothers and sister. I would be very grateful for any help you can give me. thank you

Welcome to Rootschat

Can you clarify which census you are referring to as there isn’t a 1941 census.

How do you know he had a brother & sister?  What were their names/birthyears/birthplace

What were his parents names/birthyears/birthplace

Good detective work Cas👏👏

So it was the 1851 census & he was b 1782 not 1872.  No wonder I couldn’t find him.😂

I wonder if this could be Richard's marriage to an Ann Smith in 1812 at   Michaelchurch on Arrow, Radnorshire  Very much on the edge of the boundary with Herefordshire

Hello,
I must apologise for my initial confusing post. I'm really sorry I  managed to get some numbers mixed up.

Thank you for looking into this for me.

The Richard Davies  you have found 1851- Michaelchurch on Arrow, piece 2492 folio 79 page 8 is the Richard I am working on currently. My family line follows down through his son William born in 1834,

I have traced Richards life through the census records to and including 1841.

what I am now trying to find is information relating to Richards Family. I haven't found his marriage anywhere. I would like to know who his parents were and if he had any brothers or sisters.

Thank you and once again apologies for my errors.
