Joseph McKenna 1901 census help
« on: Wednesday 01 May 24 15:45 BST (UK) »
Hi all

My great great grandfather Joseph McKenna born 2 Jan 1876 in Co Tyrone married Agnes Murphy on then 26 April 1899 at St Paul in Belfast. Agnes was a year younger than Joseph and was born in Belfast.

They had a daughter Margaret McKenna born 28 June 1899 while they were living at 25 Clonard street. Margaret died 9 April 1900 and they were living at 21 Lanark street.

They had another daughter Mary Catherine McKenna born 21 May 1901 and were living at 16 Calligan street.

2 more children were born in 1903 (Joseph 25 Clonard street) and 1905 (Agnes 31 Springfield Village).

Agnes died 1907 and the address was 31 Springfield Village.

The 1911 census has the 2 girls living with their grandparents (William and Margaret) at 25 Clonard street and Joseph and his son Joseph living at 28 Varna street (it actually says 28.2),

I am struggling to find Joseph and Agnes on the 1901 census.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He was listed as a labourer but on the 1911 census he was down as a foundry labourer.

28.2 is just the number the enumerator assigned to the household but the actual address is 14 Varna Street-

Have you made a mistake with the marriage date?
