Joseph Graham born 1883

Hi, don't know if you can help or pass me on to the right place, Joseph Graham was born 1883 Haverton Hill, on the 1911 census he was a police constable at Heworth Durham district Gateshead, it was a police station he was there with Thomas Lambert and his family, he was a police sergeant, there were a few other police constables boarding there, I'd love to find out more about Joseph being in the police force, don't know if I'm at the right place but it's a start I suppose.

They are at Felling Police Station, here is a side-by-side map view showing where it was/still is. It is now derelict, you should be able to find it on streetview: Sunderland Road, Felling.

He is on the 1939 register & his occupation suggests he remained in the police force after 1911.  He is living in West Hartlepool in 1939 but sorry - I can't help with info re whereabouts of any employment records for him

Death Dec qtr 1970 Hartlepool 1A 2600 aged 87.  Born 15.5.1883 - a day different in 1939.
