What is the date of death - I don't have access to Ancestry so can't see what you're referring to 

If it is May 1866 here is the burial (the place of death is also on Durham Records Online free index as Palmer Street)

if this is your man where is he in 1851 and 1861?

It's 25th May - no idea where he could be in 1851 and 1861.
His daughter, Jane, moved around the country with her husband James Middlehurst, between 185O and 1861, and his son, John, is in London in 1851.

So, he's abit of a mystery

Occupation for William on that death certificate is "Labourer in the Wear Glass Works".

There is this William Unsworth in 1861 (labourer at glass works, and age is about right) - Prescot seems a bit of a way off from Durham - but if his family were moving about, maybe so was he. I have not investigated this man further ....
