« on: Friday 03 May 24 14:36 BST (UK) »
My maternal Uncle William Hastie b. 1893 Berwick on tweed Northumberland died in World War I. His widow Jane Hastie nee Taylor remarried in 1918 to Hugh MC Lachlan b. c.1892. Berwick. I cannot find any information on either of them after their marriage . Any info very much appreciated.
Many thanks
Heather

A free advanced search of the 1921 census has a highly probable family in Berwick

We aren't allowed to do look ups, so if you don't have a sub to FindMyPast, then you can still register, search and purchase the images
or your local library may have on site access on their pcs

This is a link to the Findagrave record for Jean Taylor McLachlan and Hugh McLachlan in Cranshaws Churchyard. Looks like he remarried.

Hugh died in 1971 in Galashiels. Jane or Jean Hastie nee Taylor his first wife died in 1952 . Hugh remarried Margaret Ellen Dodds in 1966
I can't find a death for Margaret Ellen. She was still alive and named on his death certificate as widow.
