Can we please have a bit more to work from?
When and where do you last see him?
What was his occupation?
What were the names and dates & places of birth of his wife and children?
ie. have you narrowed down a period and location his death is likely to be?

does he always go by both names on records?
or is he usually just Henry or even just Charles?

Is he the musician in the Army?  (Band Master, Berks Volunteers)
deceased by the time of his daughter's marriage in 1906
but alive at 406 Oxford Road,  Reading in 1891

Wife Annie says "married' in 1901 census   1588/128/24/144

I wonder if he went to the Boer War…although a bit old.

I don’t think that is the same man, in 1921.

1901 wife Annie says she is married.
1906 he is recorded as deceased on daughters marriage
1911 wife is a widow
1913 marriage of son he is recorded as deceased.

I cannot see any mention of “bandmaster Roberts” of the Berkshire volunteers in the newspapers in the 1890s.

But daughter Dorcas marries in Reading in 1893.
Was he alive then?   Not mentioned in newspaper announcement.

Tragedy had struck the previous year when one of their daughters caught fire at home and died (Berkshire newspapers, January 1890)

Annie Sophia Roberts of 5 Defoe Road was buried at Abney Park Cemetery, 25 Sep 1913.
Age 67.
