Stuck with Benjamin Brooker !!

Hi Rootschatters,

Earlier this week I obtained a marriage certificate in the the hope it would help me progress backwards on this family tree line research for a friend.

It hasn't or maybe I am missing something !!

The details are as follows :-

The marriage took place at the parish chursch of St Anne's, South Lambeth, London on 1st September 1929.

Benjamin George Patrick Brooker aged 21 batchelor occupation engineer residence at time of marriage 43, Bond St, Vauxhall. Father Charles Brooker, occupation...plasterer.
TO
Angelina Elizabeth Hamilton aged 18 spinster , domestic duties...residence at the time of marriage 43, Bond Street, Vauxhall. Father Thomas Hamilton.

Witnesses to marriage Mary or May Matilda Larkin and Thomas Hamilton.

I cannot seem to find a birth registration for Benjamin or him living with his father on 1911 or unless I have missed Charles and Benjamin on 1921 census together or living apart.

Ancestry has two listings on trees for Benjamin and Angelina but seems I have more information from certificate that is on the two minimal family trees.

I would like to find Benjamin's mothers maiden name so I can tie in a marriage with Charles if possible.

At the moment I have all I need on the Hamiltons.

Can anyone help research something I may have missed.

Any research help greatly appreciated.

Electoral registers, 1930s, Lambeth show him as Benjamin Charles.

Does your friend have Benjamin in later life?

When did he die?  If he died from1969 onwards his full birthdate will be on his death reg.

4 children born 1930-1937 - all surname Brooker

Where is Angelina in 1939 - can’t see any entry.  She was b 1911

Have you investigated the 3 BROOKERs living as boarders in York in 1921?

It’s odd.
In 1939  Benjamin Charles and Angelina Elizabeth are living in Wandsworth Road but do not appear in 1939 register at that address.

In the 1940 and onwards, there is a Benjamin C Brooker living with Hilda. There is a marriage in Wales in 1943 for the couple but then a later marriage for Hilda B to Roland Brooker.
Whether or not they are the same folk, or indeed your Benjamin is a different matter.
Additionally, a tree claims him as Benjamin W.

**1911 shows Benjamin and Roland Brooker as children of Benjamin and Minnie Brooker.

I think they are the same family that Bearkat has found in York in 1921.

In 1901 they are living in Brighton (census year amended)

Benjamin BROOKER (plasterer) with his wife Emily and their 6 children, including son Benjamin aged 15.

Ah, I have a different family in 1911 - yours sounds better if he is a plasterer.
I had Benjamin as 1908 birth.
