1901 Census Address
« on: Monday 06 May 24 11:45 BST (UK) »
Hello :)

Can anyone help identify the name of the cottages that James Miles lives at? First I thought Lamp Cottages but the L looks different than the others, then I thought Sump or Tump but then are they even words?  :D

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Tump Cottages, I think. See the "T" in Charles Thomas on the next page.

Not an L, since the words Lora, Lilly and Labourer in the census have a definite curl at the base of the letter
NORTON (Kent), KEECH (Dorset), MOOR / MOORE (Kent), HOCKING (Dorset / Somerset), LEVI (City of York), SANDWELL (Kent), CHAFFIN  (Dorset / Somerset), STRONG (Dorset)

Thank you both! Never heard of the word 'Tump' so that completely threw me!  ;D
