So I think we can be sure that this Ole was the husband of Ane Christine Eriksdatter and the father of Elen Petrine in 1856 is still our "mystery man" Ole Olsen Aune.

Here is a difficult to read image re a death record for Ole Jørgen Olsen in December 1853.
I found it on another tree with "Church book from Tjotta parish death recorded."

Sorry I was tired last night. I didn't see this until this morning. This Ole Jørgen has the surname Jensen. I thought it was strange as I had looked in the correct parish.
I was looking for a Ole Jørgen Olsen.
This is the marriage record for Ole and Ane in 1844:

I have to admit all these Ole names are confusing me.
Ole Jørgen Jensen wasn't Elen Petrine's father as Ane was a widow in Elen Petrine's birth record.

Thanks so much for all your help, Ian. Sorry about mixing the Jensen with the Olsen.
I am going to post a "recap" of where we are and then take a rest too. I have researched on Geni, MyHeritage and Family Search too. Nobody has yet identified our mystery man "Ole Olsen Aune."
