Thankyou, Sinann. That is great and with Thomas Brophy, cousin too.

I was wondering, if Thomas and Mary had taken over the Kehoe residence.

I have been looking for a birth and census for Thomas Brophy with no success.
There are two Brophy families in 1901 in Carrigeen, Rathcoole.is that what you have? I am not sure if there is more than one Carrigeen.

On their marriage, Thomas and Mary Mullins are both residents of Knockadreen, Whitehall.

Again, difficulty with finding the place name. If I recall, the baptisms of your girls, Paulstown showed a residence of ‘Knockadoreen’ or similar and I searched with little success for that yesterday.

Thank you Siann for that. Forgot Martin and Margaret also had a son Patrick. Thomas and Mary
could have taken over the family farm as John and Mary were not married. I will have to go back
and check my paperwork I thought I had something for Thomas. From memory I recall on one
of the birth certificates for Ellen and John’s children the birth place for Ellen was Knock something.
The writing was hard to read I will have a look at it tomorrow.

Tried the Knock... place names in the newspapers
There is a death of a Winifred Mullins in 1935 relict of Patrick, address is Knockadreen, Castlewarren, Co Kilkenny. Her death cert says she is 68, informant daughter Kate.
Age doesn't quite fit but not far off for a death cert, there is a Winifred Mullins husband Patrick in 1901 and 1911 in Ballygorteen. Castlewarren is in the same DED
https://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kilkenny/Tiscoffin/Ballygorteen/1451893/

I think Knockadreen and Ballygorteen are the same place or at least there was a part of Ballygorteen known as Knockadreen.

Found a better reference, top right hand page Keeffe James, Knockadreen otherwise Ballygurteen
They have Ballygorteen with a u rather than an o but it must be the same place.

Hello Sinann, I have looked at the birth certificates for my grandfather and his siblings and on three
of the certificates Ellen’s birthplace is Knockadoreen, Kilkenny. Interesting to see that on John and
Mary’s death certificates diabetes is stated as cause of death. I checked Ellen’s death certificate
and diabetes is one of her causes of death. Diabetes must run in the family.

Thank you Sinann and Heywood for your help I now have more information about my Keogh Family.

Kind Regards
