Family Search query
« on: Friday 24 May 24 13:36 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone, I was searching for Edward Boulton on family search and a result was returned for an obituary from 1866 from the British Newspaper Archive. (19th May 1866 in Hereford)

However, when I have checked on the British Newspaper Archive website, I can't seem to find any trace of it.

Am I misinterpreting something or haven't I searched properly?

Roger

FindMyPast have the newspaper entry for this death.  Hereford Journal of 19 May 1866, page 5.

Boulton - 10th May at Kington, aged 98 years.  Edward Boulton.

Transcription says that the image is courtesy of FS, and it is just an extract of one column.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thanks for looking - but for some reason I can't find it!  Its driving me insane!

I've used these websites extensively for over 10 years - so if I don't reply again its because Ive smashed my keyboard.

It doesn't come up for me either as a standard search, so I just went to page 5. Just a death notice, not an obit.

Thanks again - a bit of a shame as I was hoping for an obituary.
