help please with llanllechid burial 1768
« on: Saturday 25 May 24 19:42 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Please can anyone help?

Please has anyone got access to the Parish Registers for Llanllechid?
I believe that:
Richard son of Simon Davies Miner and Lydia his wife was buried in Llanllechid on 2/10/1768.

Please can anyone look this up for me and verify it?

Thanks,

Kit

Images of the register are on FindMyPast. There is no burial for a Richard Davies on 10 October but a John Davies son of Simon, a Miner, and Lydia was buried 3 July 1768.

I can only apologise as, having rechecked what I found, it turns out it was a page of baptisms rather than burials. Not bad considering I was looking at the Caernavonshire Burials - or so I thought. Sorry again for the duff info.

It doesn't help that the register is somewhat confusingly arranged and has apparently been filmed backwards.

Thanks very much emeltom and Bookbox for your kind replies.

I'm so grateful to you both for clarifying that fact. I have used these registers before, and they are quite a challenge to use, so I'm not surprised by the confusion!

Thanks once again,
Kit
