Death cause

Can someone help with Jane's cause of death, please?
I know it has to do with her heart but can not work out all the words.
Any help is much appreciated

 Cause of death. Disease of Mitral and Aortic Valve. Degeneration of the heart muscle. She was 24 years old--so young. Regards Orkrad

Thank you. your help is much appreciated.
Edwin and Jane also had a son born in 1900 and died in 1903.
Edwin remarried 3 more times losing 2 wives and 3 children by 1919 not counting the 1903 death.
Edwin was my great-grandfather.

As she was so young, I wonder if the heart disease was a result of bouts of childhood rheumatic fever or possibly a congenital condition?
