Just wanted to update my Scandinavian results.

I uploaded my Ancestry dna to Myheritage and MyHeritage believes I am 74% Scandinavian,
One of my Daughters has changed slightly and now is 77.3% and my youngest at 41% Scandinavian

Its just not right - so way off - even the difference between Sisters.

I can only assume MyHeritage have more than a slight issue.  :D

Looking for any History Information of the surname 'Paul' family of London/Cookham/Wycombe and New Zealand

What was the answer about whether you have a lot of ancestors from northern England or islands

Some particular towns have higher than usual Scandinavian ethnicity.

It's not all from identifiable ancestors but could be several ancestors who had Scandinavian ancestors themselves .

I remember Turi King mentioning this in one of her DNA talks .
I suppose it was from coastal towns where vikings would disembark

More recently there may have been another Scandinavian exodus for whatever reason.
In USA there are also particular Scandinavian " hot spots "

I don't know about "my heritage " but
Am currently working on a project about African heritage and Ancestry is very accurate in that field and with Jewish & Scottish ethnicity.
( I manage /co manage 15 DNA kits
Just learning about gedmatch tho )

Only a couple of matches are showing in Ancestry for North england - majority of matches are southern. - curiouser & curiouser! - Noticed also MyHeritage has me at 7% North African and 1% Nigerian! - Ancestry does not concur with those estimates either.
