I did find this death record from 1913 in Coleraine for Edward Walsh signed by grandson Alexander Wilson based in Cleland (Scotland) https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1913/05321/4481078.pdf
That Edward Walsh died Killyveety (Articlave district) which is to the west of Coleraine town.
https://www.townlands.ie/londonderry/coleraine/dunboe/articlave/killyveety/
This MIGHT be him with son James in 1911- widower, married 50 years (possibly married 50 years until wife died)-
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Londonderry/Articlave/Articlave_Upper/587966/
Son James born in Co. Derry according to the return.

I do know that Edward Walsh did have a grandson named William Wilson (Son of William Wilson & Martha Welsh) who was based in Cleland, Scotland which seems like more than a coincidence.

Just posted on the other thread but have found lots of information on the family but trying to tie up some loose ends/find missing records.
It does look as if this is 'your' Edward Walsh as he and son James worked at Ballynacally (Rushbrook), Aghadowey Parish, in the 1880s and Edward's daughter Susan was there when she married.

Hey aghadowey, I thought I would do a check in and see if you reached any further conclusions with your research on Edward Walsh and James from Ballynacally (Rushbrook), Aghadowey Parish?

I'm still trying to research Williams parents John Wilson and Elizabeth (MS: Wyllie) Wilson here is what I have for them.

1869 William Wilson & Martha Welsh Marriage
William Wilson Age: Full, Residence: Ballreagh, Culfeightrin, Occupation: Miner
Martha Welsh Age: 18, Residence: Drumnakeel, Culfeightrin
Marriage Place: St Patricks Church, Ballycastle, Culfeightrin

Wiliams Father: John Wilson, Miller
Marthas Father: Edward Welsh, Labourer

John Wilson B:??? - D:???
Born: ???
Married to Elizabeth (MS: Wyllie) Wilson (Both parents listed on William Wilsons death cert.)
1869 Occupation at Wiliams Marriage: John Wilson (Occupation: Miller)
Death: ???

I found this death for an Elizabeth Wilson in Magheraboy, Balleymoney which is a place shows up in other Welsh records.

1918 Elizabeth (MS: Wyllie) Wilson Potential Death
Magheraboy, Ballymoney, Dirraw, Co Antrim
Eliza Wilson, Aged 90 (Widow of John Wilson, Farmer)
Signed: John Wilson (Son, Magheraboy)

With this record she would have been born 1828 and 41 at Williams Marriage, 23 at Birth

I am hoping to maybe find a connection between the families as Williams father John Wilson was a miller and so was Marthas father Edward so they may have worked together somewhere and thats how the families/William and Martha met?

I also found this great site that has mapped all of the flax mills in Northern Ireland:
http://www.millsofnorthernireland.com/

This could be useful to match nearby mills to where people lived.

Hope some of this is useful!

Here's the start of what will probably several posts on the Welsh family. Some of this information you will already have (either from your research or posted here on Rootschat for you), some will be only part of what you've already managed to find but I think there might be some bits that are new. (some comments in red) Spelling of surname and dates of birth not always consistant.

Edward Welsh (c1831-1913) m.(1849) Susan Taylor (c1832-1906)
1. Martha (1) Welsh (c1851)
2. Fanny Jane (2) Welsh (c1853)
3. Hugh (3) Welsh (c1854/1861)
4. Edward Welsh (c1856)
Bapt. https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633199#page/90/mode/1up (31 May 1856 Rasharkin, Edward, parents- Edward Walsh & Susan Taylor) Is the last word Travellers?
5. William John Welsh (c1856-aft.1881)
1876 William John bapt. Culfeightrin with brother Alexander https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633143#page/78/mode/1up
6. James (4) Welsh (c1858)
7. Alexander (5) Welsh (c1860)
8. Mary (6) Welsh (c1869?)
9. Patrick Welsh (c1865?-aft.1881)
10. Susan (7) Welsh (1867-aft.1881)

Susan’s mother Elizabeth but no daughter named Elizabeth?
Note: will leave details about James (4) and family until last
