My twin brother still lives in our home town, and sees many old school chums.
When I visit each Christmas I sometimes bump into people I know.

And a footnote to a previous post:
The winner of the IoM Parish Walk completed the 85 miles in 15 hours 33 minutes!
The competitors still on the course have 10 minutes to beat the 24 hour deadline.

Well done to the winner KGarrad!  That is amazing! :o  I think they might have to bury me at one of Churches en route if I attempted 85 miles.

Got to dash now as I will have to head off for bus soon for 12 hour shift.  Have a good day everyone.

Has anyone noticed a new way of spelling artificial. I have seen a couple this week, one of which was on a telly advert for DOVE, the other on  Fakebook. ARTIFICAL. I presume this is the U S  influence again.

 “Request,
Are you free over email?
I would have called but have throat pain due to Laryngitis
Neil —-.”

That is an email that has just arrived, I know no one named Neil but the surname is in my family tree .
Not sure if called means visited or telephoned.

Mmmmmm - what to do? Ignore seems best ——

I got to church but did not feel well, one drug warns that it makes you very light headed and I had been busy since early morning as had not slept very well.
Still learning my limitations  ::)
So sitting watching Morse, nearly ended now.
Son away so a quiet day I think.
Cheerio. Look after yourselves.
Viktoria.

You would do well to ignore this strange email, I think.  If it is genuine, Neil will try to contact you again or wait till his throat is better and then ring you.  Better safe than sorry! :)

I agree with Gillg, ignore the email.

I had a similar one sometime ago purporting to be from a Family History contact I had not heard from  for ten years, it was Phishing email.

Viktoria.

There is a scam email mentioning laryngitis going the rounds so you would do well to ignore it as you suggested.   Sometimes these emails can go round and round forever.

I have been in contact with the descendants of my paternal Great grandmother( but not for a long time) , five of her brothers emigrated to N,S,W in 1855 or so -  many many descendants.
The surname was Cole.
