Janet Bain (Bayne) 5 March 1806 Kettle, Fife.
Father David Bayne, mother Helen 'Aerdal' (on her birth entry)
David Bayne married Helen Iredale 15 Aug 1795 Cameron Fife.
He was a collier in Coaltown of Burnturk.
John Galloway born 1809 at Falkland. He died 10 Oct 1884 Freuchie, Falkland. (a couple of miles SE of Falkland.) Father Robert, mother Helen Piggie married Falkland.
Robert Galloway buried 1st March 1858 'Freuchie', 'aged 71'.
He is in the 1855 Valuation Rolls at Freuchie, owner of a house, garden & byre.
He was bap 22 April 1787 Falkland, son of John Galloway and Janet Laing.
They were married 3rd June 1781 at Kirkcaldy. He is of Kirkcaldy, she of Falkland.
He died 19th Jan 1831 'of Freuchie' 'aged 76'.
And I haven't found out anything about Robert and Isabella's children John born 1854, and Janet born 1855. Sorry
As to John's birth being more likely to be 1804/05 - from the Censuses, his wife Janet Grant was born in 1804, although she says she's 46 in 1851 (making that 1805). John says he's 47 in this census (1804 instead of actually 1808).
Perhaps he didn't like the idea of being 2 or 3 years younger than his wife, and made himself older - it wouldn't be the first time people played with their ages!
Or maybe he really didn't know. Lots of people didn't. No birth certificates, or endless form filling in with 'date of birth' as we do now.
"You were born the year of he big storm". 20 years later there may well have been a 'big storm' in several years. Confusion as to which one.
BTY, where did you find the photo of David Galloway - that went to Canada? It might be a different one to the one I've got!
