Hi
Just to add deaths for Henry and Sophia
Henry Pilgrim buried St Mary Magdelaine Bermondsey 5th Nov 1820 age 36 of Consumption Star Corner

Sophia 1784 - 3rd August 1854 buried by friends at Bethnal Green Cemetery taken from Southwark Workhouse. She was admitted 5th July 1854  from 9 Arrow Street washerwoman blind. She died of Cholera. (Bapt 16.1.1785 age 1 d of John and Elizabeth Groutage).

And just to take  a guess
Given the witness Isaac Wheeler Pilgrim at their wedding I'm assuming Isaac is first cousin and son  of John Pilgrim and Sarah nee Cook cooper from Hitchen .(married St Albans 19.6.1764.)
Isaac Pilgrim bapt 2.10.1774 Hitchen
Grandparents John Pilgrim and Mary Wheeler married 20.10.1748 so they are passing on surnames as middle names.

John and Mary's son William bapt 5.11.1756 Finsbury who married Ann Coxen 5.4.1779 Shoreditch
being Henry Coxen Pilgrim 's father.
The couple are baptising their children at Southwark St Saviour and large areas of the register are illegible.
Children readable- William Joseph 6.8.1786 and Matilda 18.7.1790 bricklayer

William 1757-31.8.1825 workhouse
Ann buried 11.5.1790 ST Saviour wife of William bricklayer.
Ann was the daughter of Henry and Alice Coxen bapt 9.9.1752 St Giles Cripplegate.
So if I'm right Henry Coxen Pilgrim was named after his grandfather.

I 'm sure you'll say I'm wrong and I bet i made a right mess of the family but I enjoyed having a go .
Got him Henry Coxson Piloram s of William and Anne  27 Feb 1785 Southwark St Saviour  !

Wow! Thank you all for your hard work. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you but read your replies in the car (passenger!!!) and didn't have a pen and paper handy (funny that) to write it down like a tree so I could make sense of it all.

@Cider drinker: that all certainly fits together and the names make sense as well.

@LizzieL: I can't find the censuses for Henry and Maria? Sorry ... I'm rubbish at using the references (other than ordering certificates from GRO 🙄) I have a sub to ancestry, so I'm not sure if you're allowed to post a link to it, as it wouldn't be breaking copyright as I have a sub???? I'm also registered with familysearch if that helps.
