Thanks everyone for your input, it is very much appreciated.  I knew there was probably a bit of a twist to it.  Someone mentioned that the shipping info suggested her mother was still alive when she emigrated.  Forgive my asking, but how can you tell that?  Is there something I've been missing?  Just trying to learn for future reference.  :)

As someone also pointed out, Elizabeth's death cert just says Somerset, has no mother details and just says Wallace for father.  The marriage certificate comes from before QLD recorded so much info - there is nowhere for parental details on the certificate.  The back of the certificate has people giving permissions for both bride and groom as both were under age.  I'd put some pictures in here but I'm not sure how to work that.

Oh, I'm also a little confused by the link provided by someone for the Thomas Wallis / Mary Ann Tucker pairing since it doesn't list Elizabeth as a child.  What do you think could be the reason for this?

About your passenger list query…

Elizabeth appears in 2 places on the manifest. On one there is a column that asks for parents names and, if alive, their residence. Elizabeth’s parents are given as Thos and Mary then only mother in Somerset.

We search for information but it is up to the thread owner to verify that it is correct.

It is a link to someone’s public tree, and should be ignored. Public trees are often completely or partially incorrect.

Still trying to work out a connection to John and Elizabeth BAKER. No luck so far.

Elizabeth SMALL married William FIDO(E/W) at High Ham in 1812. They appear to have the following children:
1813  William (father - William is a tailor)
1817  John
1819  Elizabeth  (father - William is now a farmer)
1820  Mary

William FIDO was buried at High Ham in 1832 and Elizabeth then married John BAKER in 1835. The parish register says she was a widow, but John was a bachelor.

(All on FreeReg)

From what I can see none of the children married a WALLIS or TUCKER.

Hmmm.  Curiouser and curiouser.  Thankyou so much for your efforts!  I also attach (figured out how to lol) the QLD death certificate for Elizabeth and the marriage certificate (both sides).  I think I saw somewhere that Charles was born in Bridgewater so maybe the families had had contact before?  I'm also curious as to who the Lieutenant Colonel George Pull/Pell/Pill/Pall was.  Some kind of clue/connection, or just a random official in the colony that certified things I wonder?

I wonder if this Elizabeth Wallis living High Ham in 1851 might worth looking at  :-\

John   Baker 61   Ag lab   Devon
Elizabeth   Baker   Wife   68   b High Ham
Elizabeth   Wallis   Grand daughter 12 b High Ham, Somerset

Although that census looks promising, there does seem to be some problem with making sense of the grand-daughter relationship, and the Bakers.

So I wonder about this other possible 1851 census. This one, Elizabeth is a servant in Somerton, which is just a few miles from High Ham.

Sounds possible too.

There are 2 Elizabeth WALLIS - one baptised 21 Aug 1836 at High Ham to James and Harriet (nee GILLETT), the other baptised 20 Sept 1838 at High Ham to Thomas and Mary.

Unfortunately, James and Harriet WALLIS don't have daughter Elizabeth with them in 1851 either.
