I had a quick look for the Gunmakers Arms in the newspapers and spotted this in the Birmingham Mail, 18th November 1925 under the heading 'Domestic Servants Wanted'.

I wonder if this was the job Gertrude applied for.

Her stepfather died in 1922 so she may well have been looking for somewhere else to live. Thank you so much for this. I love how pieces of jigsaw are coming together!
