How confident are you of the baptism record and the marriage record in 1827?
Is that the only reference to Evan rather than Edward? It seems unusual.

From searching around:
In that marriage Evan is of ‘the parish of Lanfair’
Elizabeth Davies is of the parish of Forden.

Margaret’s baptism - residence ‘the township of Kilkevid’ (Kilkewyd)

There is a published tree for :
Edward Davies Morgan b 1831 - parents Evan Morgan and Elizabeth Davies
There is a baptism in the parish of Betws

Nothing is posted re Evan or Elizabeth in the tree.

Two be honest I’m not 100 % as Margaret Morgan marred Samuel Lewis in 1850 says her father is Edward.

I would think there is not enough evidence there to be definite about those early records.
Is there a residence for Margaret on the marriage certificate?

I see that she also gives Kerry as place of birth in 1861 1843 /24/2
Where there is also a Jane Morgan, 21 yrs visitor b Kerry.
