Samuel Searles :1851 census London Area.
« on: Wednesday 14 September 05 02:18 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find Samuel Searles born 14 July 1822 in Bishop Stortford Herts,in 1842 he is living  in Fox Dells, Bishop Stortford,Hert.

I know that Samuel Searles married in Pancras London in 1843.
He then had the following children

Albert James Searles 2 Feb 1845,
Isabella Searles 3 Jan 1847,
Walter Searles 7 Oct 1849
all born in Bishop Stortford Hert.
Alfred Searles born 1856 Kilburn Lon.

In 1861 Samuel and his Family are living in 3 Cambridge Passage, Plaistow,West Ham.

Is it possible to get some help, trying to locate Samuel and help me answer some unanswered questions.

Hi Jericho

What sort of information are looking for now on Samuel SEARLE(S) - going back? Going forward?

His wife was Mary Ann EALES born abt 1823 Hertford?

Can't find Samuel on Census 81.

There is a death that looks like could be him, on FREEBMD, if they stayed in area after 1861:
Deaths Mar 1875
SEARLES  Samuel  age 51  W. Ham  Vol:4a, Page:19

Can't find wife (widow?) Mary Ann in Census 1881.
His son Walter SEARLE  is back in Hertford in Census 1881.

Cheers

Hi Ambly

I'm really wanting to find Samuel Searles in the 1851 census, as its the only one I haven't been able to find, and I'm hoping it will clear up some answers about his children.
 Thanks for your help.
