John FAWNS/FAUNS + Mary MITCHELL

  Yes the link works thanks for that.  I've just been looking at it, were you thinking that is possibly MARY WOOD/FAWNS/MITCHELL who married John Fawns THEN perhaps a Mr. Woods!!  Will be interesting to follow this.

As I don't know when JOHN FAWNS died!! It's a bit difficult.  I was going to check the 1835 Heads of Households, maybe a hit or miss.

So what I have so far is

JOHN FAWNS married Mary MITCHELL 1797.

One child possibly born in 1798 MARY?? (FEWNS)

Then John and Mary are back in KIRRIEMUIR, ANGUS three more children.  All spelt FAUNS

1) JOHN B 1802 died 1835
2) ROBERT B 1802 possibly married Agnes CROOM 4 June 1841
3) CHARLOTTE 1808

It will be interesting to check what else is on the Angusalive website.  Will check it out!  Many thanks Dianna

Hi,

   No, just a family to investigate. The Brechin OPR seems to be non existent, so there may be invisible families, deaths. There is grave record for a John Fawns in Brechin Cathedral in 1818.

The John Fowns left a will, its on SP. Along with a David Fawans of the Artillery! His wife left a will as well.

You are best searching for F*N*S, that covers pretty much any spelling, or drop the S!
