I can't pin James down either.

Had a lot of spare time so probably typed up more than census than I needed too at this stage :)

It may well be that James Turner is not related to Joseph but it is quite a coincidence bearing in mind birthplace and then lodging together.
I was hoping that if we could connect them, it might ‘prove’ Joseph’s parents.
There is a possible death for James and burial in Oldham in 1879 but no further details of his circumstances. There is an address which is not too far away but that is it.
