Help restoring photo Gallagher/Walsh please
« on: Sunday 09 February 25 03:21 GMT (UK) »
This was taken circa 1932, of my wife's mother aged about 6 and her Grandmother, therefore my wife's Great Grandmother. Any improvement would be appreciated. It is not too bad in present form, but I have seen magic done on this site. Colour, tone etc. all at your discretion.

Thanks,

Alan

Thank you all for your work. Wonderful results!

For your interest, I quote from a Family Book, written by a relative:

So this was Jane Mary Lynch, nee Gallagher ---the lovely, capable, horse riding "Mountain Maid"
who married William Joseph Lynch, a "Coaster" at "Gundillion" in 1882. Jane bore 11 children, losing two within a week aged 14 & 11 in 1898. Her husband died in 1916 leaving her in charge of a hotel, a butchery, bakery, blacksmith shop, general store and a line of carriages which he had renewed when
he learned of his own imminent death. She had the care of her own children and the five children of her deceased loved sister, Kate."

The setting for the above is the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Again, thanks.
