Well what can I say to all who have helped. Now have William A Davis Funeral 1937 in the Herald that John mentioned. Off down the library to get the 1939 of Annie and James. So I will send for that 1983 death later.

Could also be worth looking for them on Fife, Scotland, Electoral Registers, 1914-1971, on ancestry.
Plus the London ones just before the war.

As mentioned in reply #13, there are four children named in the death announcement in 1988. Of these, three match with the three English births listed in reply #11.

The last one listed is a female who may still be alive, and there is a possible birth record in 1944 in Ferryport on Craig [=Tayport].  As far as I can see this is the earliest record of any type for the name Jellye in Scotland, although there are many subsequent records, including one with Mansell as a middle name.

i have found them in the Electoral rolls.

1919-1921 3, Adair Road, Kensington. James William and Rose(sister) Jellye.
1931           Nutfield Priory, Surrey. James William Jellye.

1932-1933 188, Holland Road, Kensington. Annie Mansell.

1937          16, Oxford Gardens, Kensington. Annie and James William Jellye.
1938-1939  9, Lonsdale Road, Kensington.  James William and Anne Jellye.
1952- 1955 35, Dalgliesh St, Fife. Annie and James W Jellye.
1957           42, Linksfield, Fife. Ann and James Jellye.
1958            ..........................Ann, James, James Jnr Jellye.
1963            ........................................................., David and Helen Jellye.
1966 Rufflets Hotel Ann Jellye on her own.(must have been working.

How am I going to send for a death certificate for 1983 in Scotland because my GRO has a gap from 1958 to 1984. so I can't find any index numbers.

So the 4 children must be James William b1936, Peter M b1939, David A b1940 and Helen
Peter's middle name could be the Mansell.

Added Softly Softly found that death for Peter Michael Jellye MMN Dunn. So maybe that wasn't him.

If you go to Scotland’s People you will be able to find the death and order a certificate from there.
