« on: Wednesday 14 September 05 17:16 BST (UK) »
I have a database of Crew Lists and Agreements 1863 - 1913 (not all ports) that may help you with you Merchant Navy Records. Send me a PM with the individuals name and I will see if I can locate them. Please include the database that you would like searched in the message as I have several different lookup offers on Rootschat.
I also have:
Military Courts:
Royal Navy 1911-1965
Royal Air Force 1941-1994
Army 1879 - 1986

I would be glad to help.
Michelle

Hi Michelle

Not sure if I have enough information for you to go on but.....
I am looking for David Constant. According to his daughter (Eliza Jane Constant)'s marriage certificate in Cullen, Banffshire, 1866 he was a seaman, merchant service.

When Eliza died in Edinburgh, 1904 her father was listed as a sea captain.

Eliza was born in 1847 at Gravesend, Kent. Her mother was Mary Lyon. Her parents married sometime after the birth.

Hoping you can help

Louise

Looking for William Dean b Jan 1861 in Banff.  He was a marine engineer but type of employment unknown.
He married early 1880s Elsie Dickson also of Banff but family later settled around Glasgow.  Any trace of him?
